Buying Neutral Colors
When buying furniture for a specific room, buy neutral colors. If
you ever want to use the same furniture in another room, you'll
not have to paint or re-upholster it. It'll go nicely as it is.

Also, the best time to buy is December. Few people buy furniture for Christmas! DD#2 and her dh managed 60 - 75% off leather furniture, curio cabinet and bed between Christmas and New Year's!

We have very little furniture right now, and won't until we pay off the credit cards. Unless we see something we like in the free ads, and yes, where I live, people give away furniture and appliances and alot of other stuff too.
