Hi friends!
I've missed FV, we have been going though many changes in our lives and have been physically busy!
We are recieving a windfall, I guess you would call it that. And I'm a total wreck about what to do with it. I know dh would love to use some of the money to finish our kitchen addiiton and some more house repairs.
I feel kinda guilty because we haven't earned it, iykwim?
I feel very emotional about this and want dh on the same page. I would like to use a very small amount about $600 to have some plastering done, but that's it. The rest we can continue to complete on our own budget.
I also want to pay off our auto loan.
That is our only loan, cc free.
Sorry for babbling on. I just want to be smart with our money.
Thanks for listening! And again glad to be back!!!

Welcome back! I wouldn't feel guilty, it's yours now to do with as you wish. Paying off that car loan is a great place to start.

I agree with Darlene, don't feel guilty and paying off your auto loan is a great place to start.

I guess part of it is where did the windfall come from? If it was from someone, do you feel you "owe it to them" to spend it on something they would approve of? If not and you just got lucky somewhere in life, they it is a matter of priorities.
Is the kitchen half done and it would be a great feeling to have it done and behind you? Does the auto debt bother you or is it on schedule and will be paid off soon enough?
