This article kind of reminds me of my husband and I when we're out to eat. He and I are polar opposites. I can eat a dinner in a sit-down restaurant for under $6.00, and he cannot eat a dinner under $10.00.

The embarrassing moment happened shortly after he and I had a talk about how he needs to watch how much he spends when we go out to eat: The waitress walks up and asks "Are you ready to order??" DH: "I don't know what I want...(looks at me) How much am I allowed to spend?"

It was quite embarrassing since we were in a nice restaurant and I think some people around us heard us. Not to mention that if the waitress thinks we're low on cash, that we might not tip well and not give us as good service.

Anyway...he did it a couple of more times and finally I solved the problem! I would tell him BEFORE we went out what his "limit" was and DARED him to ask me. Actually, I said "I swear to GOD, if you say ANYTHING about your "Limit" or "how much can I spend" I will walk out."

Since then, he has stopped. So my point is this mainly: if you like to eat out, but want to budget it, discuss your spending plan PRIOR to going into the restaurant.

Ok, I had to laugh about the guy who almost choked b/c of trying to suck out the last little bit of toothpaste out of the tube. I have to admit I've often pondered about how to get that little bit out of the neck of the spout of the tube, when I've cut it open to get the very last bit of it out. I've never sucked on it though and to be honest, I don't intend to.

I know! It chaps my hide when we go out to dinner and then someone will say, "After tip, it comes to $20 apiece." I'm not the one ordering appetizers and drinks.

Great article, I love it! I laughed too reading about the guy who almost choked on the toothpaste. And the paper towels outta the float hee hee that deserves the prize too LOL

The winner saved her soda can, I can relate and save every can as the 5 cents adds up.
