Default Wow-- have any of you heard of this?

    http://www.megabus.com/us/

Only $1 for a trip from St. Louis to Chicago. Apparently it's been available for sometime in the UK, but just getting started in the USA. Hopefully will spread to more areas soon.

Not all the tickets are for a $1. It looks like they have promotional rates, then the tickets go up from there.

I know my friend uses this in the UK, I think you have to book a bit in advance but she pays £1 and there are no catches that she has found. I suppose it is like some of the airlines that do reduced rates, I quite often fly to the UK with Ryan air for a Euro ( plus taxes!) but only a certain number of seats on each plane are that cheap - the rest of the seats can be alot more expensive!

I know it in the UK. I know quite a few people that use it. Sometimes no £1 fares are available but it is still very cheap.

What a neat thing. Never heard of it before, but hope it opens up in new locations.

    Thumbs up

I will so have to let my Mom know about this. We go to St Louis all the time as her family lives up there. Maybe next time we go we can catch the bus to Chicago. We were just talking about making a trip there.

Anybody actually use this service yet?

I don't think the service is available in the USA yet--- looks like it starts in April.
