    Default awww darn.

So earlier this week, DSO comes to pick me up from work, gets out of the car and gets into the passenger seat.
"I lost my glasses" well, of course, this would be because you DON'T KEEP THEM ON YOUR FACE m'dear. But ok. We look everywhere and they can not be found. Can function without them, but needs them. Break down. Borrow money from DMIL.
$200. not refundable by the health plan because DSO bought the lost glasses right before xmas.

Tonight, I"m sitting at the computer and feel, on my feet. Something that I KNOW is glasses. I almost didnt' want to bend over. Pick them up. Yep. Black rimmed FUBU glasses. The ones that dissapeared.
    Le sigh.

This bites. And the most annoying part? the new glasses are identical (almost) to these ones, which means that there's not even any fashionable reason for having two pairs. I almost want to hide them as DSO will be awfully upset with self tomorrow morning.

Isn't that luck? I've had that happen so many times with DH glasses, it just isn't funny.

Thankfully, this hasn't happened YET with my DH. Truly, I don't understand how he can lose his glasses. Mine are always either on the bathroom counter or my nightstand, never anywhere else. DH takes his off any old place, then can't remember where he left them!

I guess chalk it up to a (expensive) lesson learned for him. Stash his extra pair someplace where you'll both remember, then he can get them out next time he temporarily or permanently loses his other pair. Gotta love him, right?

Return the new pair tomorrow! Or, sell them on E-Bay!

    Try going to http://www.39dollarglasses.com/

If you have your husbands prescription (if not get a copy from your eye dr) this site is wonderful. It is really good if you have to wait every other year for insurance to pay for new frames......... check it out.

Also, a cheap remedy for your old glasses....if your script doesnt change and you just want new ones for one reason or another....... ask your dr about tinting your old ones for sunglasses. I had it done for 15 bucks........

As a manager of an optical store. Most places will allow you 14 days to return them. Don't tell them you don't want them, they will give you a hard time. Tell them you found another pair for less money on your fixed budget and wnat to return these on the medical device return policy.

Or hide these in a safe place for the next time he creates a crisis like this.

Great suggestions. I really liked the old frames actually and they fit better on my face and I desperately need new glasses. I think I"ll just get MY prescription but into the old frames and save some money that way!

I would hide the other pair so that way when or if he loses this pair you have a back up my ds has contacts and I keep his old glasses for times when he needs to change his contacts or if he loses one and i don't have the money to get a new pair right away..
