Default Bought Freezer and Got a Surprise

I went out this morning and purchased my freezer - decided to wait until my Lowe's coupon came in (thanks i.m. cheap). So in addition to saving 10%, I got home to find in the mailbox a $50 giftcard for a local grocery store. It was from a sweepstakes I had entered months ago. Talk about timing.

Wow! What a great surprise! I have been having a blast filling my new freezer during the Double Dollar coupon promotion at one of our local stores. It has lots of FREE New York Brand Garlic Bread Stix, 15¢ Eggo Waffles, 50¢ Birdseye Steamfresh Vegetables, 48¢ Mrs. T's Pierogies, FREE El Monterey burritos, and sale purchased ground round and Tyson Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, and frozen fish fillets in it already. Oh yeah, several packages of FREE Mission Tortillas, also. I would say mine is a little over half full now.

If anyone else would like to receive a 10% off coupon from Lowe's, go here:

    http://www.lowesmoving.com/

It takes about a week for the coupon to come in the mail. The chest freezer I purchased was a Holiday (sold exclusively at Lowe's) 7.0 cu. ft. for $178 (before the 10% off coupon). This is a very energy efficient and COLD freezer, with an annual energy cost of only about $32. If you have been thinking about getting a freezer, this is not a bad deal. Of course the coupon can be used on anything purchased in one trip to Lowe's.

Fantastic! It's always nice to save money.

I.M.Cheap, thank you so much for that link! Lowe's is my DH's favorite store, and it seems like we're in there every other weekend for something needed around the house. That 10% off will really come in handy!
