Another yeah!!!! I might have a job
A neighbor stopped me at the bus stop yesterday and asked if I would be interested in watching her grandson (three months old). Of course I said yes, lol. She brought him down and we chatted yesterday and her daughter was supposed to come down and meet me last night. Well, instead her little sister brought down the phone numbers and said to call if I had any questions. What? I assume one of them will be calling me to make arrangements and I would think the mother would want to meet me. She is incredibly young though so she may be following her mother's guidance. I don't know. They need someone right away. It'll be $400 a month which isn't as much as they'd pay for a regular daycare, but it's a lot for them. I figure that I don't mind taking less money for doing things if I'm helping other people at the same time. So, we'll see. Keep your fingers crossed for me and hopefully all of this will work out. It was so bizarre how it just fell out of the sky like that

That is great for you! I would LOVE to babysit a three month old! It does sound very much like she is following her mothers' lead in deciding that you should watch him.

I agree, I can not imagine that the baby's mother would not want to meet you first. Babies are so sweet at that age.

I just wanted to update everyone
The mother came down yesterday afternoon and she is so sweet and young (I'm pretty young so that's saying a lot, lol). Apparently her little sister got some wires crossed. The father of the baby is going to stop by this weekend to meet me, but it's pretty much a done deal. She's going to bring him on Monday and I'll have him from 7:00 - 3:15 which isn't so bad. That'll still give me plenty of time to run to the grocery store and stuff like that if I need to and plenty of time to make dinner and spend a couple of hours with my kids alone before dh gets home. I'm so excited (perhaps too excited) that I get to dig out all of my "baby" stuff
Thanks everyone for your positive vibes.
