    Default Frugalities-Thursday, April 27th.

What did you do yesterday to get more value for your money. This is what I did:-
Put my recycling out in a recycled bag.
Made chili from scratch and everything in it except the dried beans came from my freezer or pantry and was all bought on sale.
Made a gallon of lemon iced tea - 6 tea bags - 6 cents
1 tub of pre-sweetened lemondade - I think it was $1.87 for a tube of six of them - .31
    A scant tablespoon of Splenda - .10¢ (a guess)
One gallon of iced tea for .47¢
Lipton Iced Tea - 16 oz. $1.19 - $9.52 a gallon - and you think gas is expensive. The price for Liptons iced tea came off the internet - can't prove it by me.

I cleaned my house. Nothing exciting.
We put out the recycling for pickup.
I don't do much by way of cooking on cleaning day, so I just made a box of mac and cheese (Amy's organic bought on sale for $1/box), mixed some cut up hot dogs into it, and served it with a salad.
    Read from a library book.
Drank iced tea that was already brewed and in the fridge. I keep a 3-quart pitcher of tea in the fridge at all times.

What kind of tea are you buying that's only costing you 1 cent/teabag? And where are you buying it?

Ewokgirl:- Have no idea what the brand is cause I have emptied it into my own container but tea aways available here in most stores 100bags/.99¢ and I always buy the cheapest for iced tea cause I think it is the harshest and has the most flavour. For hot tea I buy the good stuff.

Didn't use WATER at all. (not by choice)
Our water heater die, we bought a new one, and the pipes starts leaking, so we have to turn off the water all night and day, boyfriend is still trying to fix the pipe right now. (Hopefully he can fix it, we already spend too much money on this water heater) & I need to take a shower today
