    Thumbs down Unexpected expenses anyone?

We have termites. Found a few. Exterminator came to inspect and showed us where in the cellar they have been doing damage and creating mud trails.

I'm so sorry! We had that 3 years ago. It's expensive to treat, but so necessary! Of course, you're then left with the upkeep. We chose to have the termite stations set up that are checked every three months.

We had to have our AC repaired last week. This was the same repair that was done last year, but apparently it was done very badly. I wrote a complaint letter to the first AC company, requesting reimbursement for my repair bill last week. They actually called me today to say they're investigating and will call me again on Monday! I'm really praying that we'll be reimbursed since it should have been fixed properly the first time.

I saw the dentist this week and found out I need 3 new crowns. Ouch! I have a lot of old dental work that has been breaking down. It's gonna be expensive to fix all that at once. Thankfully, we have good dental insurance, so my costs are only 20%.

So, yeah. Unexpected expenses at our house, too!

We had an unexpected expense (or two this week). A tire blew (ouch) and we had to put our dog down. Not only hurts in the wallet but the heart as well. Of course, it had to be done.

After a 4 days out of town trip (I spend $500, and only plan to spend $150)

Boyfriend was out of town with his best friend, we both got home and found out that our Water heater is not working. It's very very old. We have to get a new one (almost $300). (We tried to install it ourselves, to saves some $$$) We end up having a leaking pipe after install it, it was a big head-ache. We end up spending an extra $100 on tools, parts, etc. But (1 nite & 1 days later) we finally got it fix a couple hours ago by ourselves.

Hopefully this is all the unexpected expense for this summer.

Last summer, our AC stops working, I called a company to come look at it, all the guy did was pour cold over on the AC, and that cost us $75. ( he said AC was too hot, it was outside in the sun all day)

So, I have decide that what-ever breaks down, we will call friends/family/internet and see if it's something we can fix. Then we will try to fix it first, before we pay money for someone to fix it.

(Of course, if it's something dangerous, we will let the professional do it, otherwise, we'll try to do it ourselves) We're very young (early 20s), and this is our first home.

Sorry for all the extra expenses!!!

DH got a ticket dirtbiking out of bounds! Not sure how much that will cost!

I had to pay his union dues for 3 months out of pocket because of a mistake made by the Union or Company $138.00

We had an alarm installed in our second home: over $1000.00

We had to fire the old property management and hire new ones $575.00
That is just the cost for the new mgmnt!

DH's recent cell phone bill: $185.00 I know it is alot! I switched his plan yesterday to one that lets him use more minutes!

Well, good thing I did not use all of our tax refund to pay down the credit cards! Now it will go to these expenses!!!
And, no, I do not catagorize any of this as eligibale to dip into the EF FUND!

Nothing major here, did run out of hay though so $300.00 there to hopefully hold us through until our first cutting.

It's been so tight though with gas prices and having to work the fields that we're really hoping the gas and electric bills drop significantly.

I have been put on a lot of extra hours at work, (and I do not get paid overtime) so my Daycare bill this month goes from 570 dollars, to 1000 dollars, to pay someone to watch me kids while I work every night until 8 pm and ever weekend too. Ouch.

Only thing we had this week was medical, between my son and I we spent $180 going to the doctor in 4 days. We both suffer from allergies. I had a bad sinus infection and my son had bronchitis. My dh is having problems also, so he'll probably go to the doctor tuesday when he is off. We usually don't spend that much in a given month for medical.

I can understand the A/c problem, last summer we had to call them twice, the pipe inside where the freon is kept freezing. $130 each time for those trips. When dh isn't home I try to keep it off. Unless it is so humid I can't stand it.

Yep extra here! We spent the 1700 for our laminate flooring for our do it yourself project. Our floors are lots and lots more unlevel than we thought! So far its been about 400 on leveling compound. Now we find we need vapor barrier and extra padding so add a few hundred more.
Our roof was redone where we belived it was leaking. Nope must be the second level as its still leaking. I supose that will be another 600! yikes

    Smogging car $50.00

AC isn't working, covered by home warranty, still another $45.00

These gas prices aren't helping, so we're giving up swim lessons this summer.
