    Default Windshield Wiper Blades

OK, ladies and Gents... you all may think I am a bit silly about this, but I am SO EXCITIED! I changed the windshield wipers on my car today, all by myself, for the first time IN MY LIFE! (I usually never had a car long enough to have to change the blades..... or that was a reason to trade in the car. Youth, how silly I was!)

So, not only does this mean I have had my car longer than any other vehicle i have ever had, I did it BY MYSELF! *Dancing around with glee*

If only I knew how to change the oil!

Lol I'm not big on car maintenance either, Dh is the one who does all that stuff. My dd seems more interested and her Dad has shown her how to do many things. Bet someone can show you how to do anything you want & you can go for it on your own next time.

he he - whenever I buy new wiper blades, I just ask the guy at the counter to come out and change them for me. It only takes a minute and I have never been turned down. Someday I'll learn how to do it myself.

That's great! I have yet to do that task on my own. DH always does it for me. It's one of the few things he doesn't tell me I need to learn how to do by myself. (I grew up a rather spoiled little princess who didn't know how to do much of anything for myself, so he's big on making me learn how to do stuff.)

Aw the wonder of learning all those mysterious jobs our fellows do for us! WTG treluva!

When I had my learners permit, my dad made me learn all those things. Changing the oil and a tire are no big deal, you can do it!

Just like you Dee, when I started driving my dad made sure I knew how to change and check the oil, transmission fluid, wiper blades and fluid and tire pressure. Also to go and have the battery checked every summer. Auto Zone will do this for free.
I have to admit when I go and buy new blades I ask the tech to do it because one year I broke the blade putting it on. It was raining and I was hurrying. But if dh buys them he puts them on for me. lol

Congratulations! I've always done it myself except this last time I had my oil changed.

I just paid the guys at the oil place for their wipers...even though I know it was extra, I let them do it because I'm tired. And was feeling too fat to go to the store and buy some myself.

The oil change is difficult. My dad's a mechanic and I've watched him do it. I'll just pay someone to do it.

I just stick with checking the oil levels, filling up the washer fluid, checking the belts and that simple stuff.
