Talking Save $800 by switching insurance company

    I'm so happy

I finally decide to call another insurance company today, just to get a quote to see if we can save money on auto insurance. It turns out that we will be saving $800 every 6 months by switching.

I was in shock, excited, and so happy. Our auto insurance company that we have been with for almost 3 years now, have been over charging us. I guess, I should of call this new auto insurance company years ago, we would of save so much money.

We were paying $1,200 to $1,500 every 6 months (I make changes to the policy alot, trying to reduce the monthly payments, so it varies).

Our new policy, we're only paying $600 every 6 months, and it will reduce to $535 every 6 months once we remove one of the car that we sold.

All these 5 years of us having auto insurance together, our policy have always been $1,200 to $1,600 every 6 months, so this amount was normal to me. I didn't think we were paying too much. Until today, when I'm trying to figure out ways to save $$$, so I figure I'll just call to get a quote, and even if I can only save $10 a month, that's still money that will go towards debt. I never thought of saving $800

I called boyfriend, he was so excited too. We have been having a bad month, nothing seems to be going right. This really brighten my day. Just got to share this with you gals.

(I'm not advertising insurance company here, that's why I don't include their names) Just want to share the news, and also that if you shop around, there's someone out there that will offer you a better deal.

WTG Start_Living! You have me wondering about our house insurance. Maybe I should call around.

That's great! When I married DH, I switched all my coverage over to his company. He has USAA. He's never been in the military, but since his stepdad was, he can use them for coverage. I couldn't get over how inexpensive DH's coverage was compared to mine! And it's good coverage. I'm so glad that you found such a great deal! I hope their customer service and coverage is good should you ever need to file a claim.

I did this recently myself. I've always shopped around for comparable coverage but stay with a local insurance agent. I just feel better dealing with someone I can go and yell at if need be.
