Default Go through your cupboard to save money.

Want a great way to save money? Of course, who doesn't. Spend some time going through your pantry and cupboards and you would be surprised how much you have hidden in the back of cupboards.

Instead of buying some new face cream, shampoo and conditioner I thought, "Why not dig out all my little bottles and samples?" That alone can save me quite a bit! I keep forgetting I them. This time though, I did something different. Put them up front where I can see them.

I put my little shampoo & conditioner samples in the shower so I'll use them up. I put my soap right on top of my makeup drawer do I'll use them instead of spending a small fortune on new stuff.

    USE IT UP!

Good reminder! I need to dig out my free samples that have been packed away since we moved.

Same here, I received 3 samples of Degree deoderant and have used them instead of buying a bigger size. I pulled out some samples for perfume and lotion and have used them also.

I usually keep all of my sample at work so that I always have extra on hand for anyone or myself who may need it. That way I don't have the clutter around here.

I try to keep things stocked with extras but need to remember to use up samples or leftover amounts first.

    Very good reminder, thanks

Thank you for the reminder. Things here are very tight here right now with dd's graduation and a large insurance bill due soon. I've been looking for ideas to get us through the next couple of weeks without having to go to town for food or household supplies. Using up some of our samples and going back through the cupboards should help stretch things a bit.

Good point. I get a lot of freebies. When it comes to shampoo, I just open the big bottle and dump all those little bottles in. Shampoo is shampoo is shampoo unless it is the tearfree kids kinds IMHO. Conditioner, not so. I use the individual bottles. Also, we travel a lot and those samples are GREAT for travelling.

I usually keep several of each type of sample in our guest bathroom, too. That way if an overnight guest forgets something they don't even have to ask!

Hey, when you're broke, unable to work or just short on cash, it is great to be able to turn to your little stockpile and know that you have a little stash of shampoo, soap etc. in your cupboard.

I love using my freebies. I always feel such a sense of satisfaction when I've used something up.
