Did you ever just have one of those weeks? There goes the budget, sigh
Thank goodness for an EF, otherwise this would reall have hit hard. Started with hubby breaking a bearing on the baler, that's $80.00, then the belt on the rake, another $30.00, then a broken ground wheel on on the baler, another $25.00. Then the emergency Vet bill for $185. Then if that wasn't bad enough on Sat my right foot swelled up like a balloon so a trip to the ER, $75.00 co-pay, antibiotics and painkillers $25.00 co-pay.
Sigh, been a heck of a week
And the foot, cellulitis and I've been told to stay off it for the week, not going to happen, hubby has to go to work and someone has to do the chores.
BTW, painful, OUCH! Man this is NOT fun!
I REALLY REALLY hope that's it for the month, sigh

So sorry for the Murphy visits and the problem with your foot. You really need to stay off that foot. My son had cellulitis in his arm. The doctor told me that unless he completely rested, the cellulitis could spread.
Wishing you a vey speedy recovery. Prayers are being sent your way.

Take a peek on the internet about cellulitis if you don't have a good idea of what you have.
My seat belt ratchet broke. And since the backseat is filled with kids, it had to be fixed. That and the oil change was $200.

Ah the loveliness of farm life. The animals have to be taken care of no matter what happens. Not a nine to five job by all means. ( been there and done that )
I hope you can get some rest for your foot.
Sorry about all the things happening . ( I'm right there now also with some very expensive bills comming in and I have no EF yet. )

Oh, and dinner for 11 tonight - 5 adults, 6 kids. I went to the grocery store bought all this food and as I'm unpacking I get a call and they are CANCELING on me. GRRRR!!!! So I have all this food and DH is going away this week and thus I don't even need to cook real food!!! The kids would be happy with ramen noodles, eggs, waffles all week. sigh ...........
Guess I need to put some stuff in the freezer.

I hate when those costly things happen, but my DH had cellulitis in his elbow and it was very painful and he also, didn't do as directed by the dr. and he had a painful and slow recovery. Rest as much as possible.
taking one day at a time, trying to get rid of debt!!

Murphy has been visiting your homestead and it sounds like he settled in for an extended visit. I hope he has packed his bags and moved on and that things are getting better now and that your foot heals quickly.

Dang Murphey, hope he leaves soons, hope your foot heals fast, just rest as much as possiable, maybe if your have some friends in your area that might be will to help, its a thought, I know that when I have my surgery I am depending on my family to help, maybe you could get some help that way or barter something with someone. its worth a shot, so that you food could heal quickly and not have more problems that could lead to bigger bills, in my opionion.... get well soon.....

Do what you can, when you can and put that foot up as much as possible. That is a painful syndrome and will spread if not taken care of properly!
At least you had a fully funded EF!!!!

I hope you get the rest you need to heal your foot. I also hope Murphey leaves your house soon! I hate when he pops in unexpectedly!!

PLEASE do what the doctor said. Cellulitis can become very, very dangerous.

Thanks everyone, I'm trying to stay off it as much as possible, it hasn't gotten any worse so thats a good thing. I know how serious it can be and don't want to end up in the hospital but also have to supervise hubby on chores or things just won't get done right. I have 3 sick mares, two mares due to foal and things have to be done just right with them. Hubby is also right in the middle of haying so his mind isn't on the chores when he's doing them.
Understand, I DO love this man dearly, but rather than just doing things the way I ask he keeps questioning me, ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I don't question him on the tractors, balers, discbine, wagons, etc, etc, etc, he's driving me NUTSO! I'm being VERY careful to not be short tempered and to ask NICELY!
And no friends nearby to help, they're all in the middle of haying and filling silos, best friend is 10 miles away and her health just isn't good enough to do all her chores and help me too.
Whew, thanks, that felt better! Now back to the couch with my foot elevated.
