Question What do you think of this quote?

This was in today's Boston Globe submitted by a reader in years past:

You know you are rich when more money wont change where you live, what you eat, what you drive, or who you sleep with.

What do you think?? And where are you at in that quote?

More money wouldn't change where I live (I would just make it more to my liking) or what I eat, but maybe what I drive. I wouldn't go buy a brand new car (I just can't stand the thought of how much a new car depreciates when you drive it off the lot), but would replace the one I have. That last part....I'm single and am definitely picky enough already!

More money might change where I live, in that we want a house with acreage to have a mini farm. Wouldn't change what we eat or what we drive. I'll still be stuck with the same person to sleep with. Wouldn't want to upgrade to a newer model. I just got him trained

We must be rich then, because we are content with what we have, who we are, and what we do...

Hmmm...I must be rich too! But I would add a relationship with God to that being rich list. I might upgrade (?!) to a Honda Civic, but as I already have a Toyota Corolla, maybe not. I'd have to think about that one.

    We'd be rich too.
I love my house (assuming we succeeed in getting rid of the mall developers)
wouldn't change what we eat - maybe I'd put less effort into stockpiling and such
I'll keep my current car until it's time for it to go regardless
and my hubby is my best asset of them all!!!

Well - I've got the "who you sleep with" part down, and probably what you eat, too.

But more money would definetly change where I live and what I drive. So I guess I'm half rich.

I would change where I live in a heartbeat. I would keep our little Corolla, but we would probably buy a second car. Something we could haul things in, like a truck or a minivan would be my choice for a second vehicle. What we eat would not change too much, I would buy a few more fresh fruits and vegetables, though. I will continue to sleep with the same one I have for the last 12 years.

Would not change where we live, we love our little home. I may buy a little bit better meats for grilling, the only change eating wise. I love my 6 y/o Taurus, I see no need to change that until I drive it into the ground. And wouldn't change the hubby for any amount of money in the world.

    ~~Almost rich~~

    Bring on them baby steps...
    Step 1: done
Step 2: waiting on amount, hubby had followup colonoscopy, I had visit to ER with followup procedure
Step 3: to follow, won't know aim until things settle
Step 4: to follow, currently at 6%
    Step 5: grown child
    Step 6: huge mortgage ANNIHILATED!!
    Step 7: ahhhh....

In this case, I'm rich. Love my home, Love my car, and I always eat what I want, and I'm sure I won't change who I sleep with anytime soon. (The only thing I would change is my Debt, would pay off all debt). BF might not be as rich as I am, he might get a few more cars on top of all his cars...but still wouldn't change where he live, what he eat, what he drives, and hopefully not who he sleep with....

Only thing that would change is where we live. We would have a home with three things we now lack: a garage for the vehicles, a studio for DH (big enough for his photography, watercolors, and oil painting), and a MIL suite for my Mom.

We would buy the small farm across the street so the elderly neighbor wouldn't have to worry about what happens to it when she is gone. Then I might buy a newer vehicle, or at least one that is more reliable so I could go visit some cousins down south that I am in touch with but have never met face to face.

I would change where I live for sure. I want some acreage so I can have chickens and a big ole garden!! I love my car (honda civic) and eat pretty good and of course I won't change who I sleep with, BF is staying by my side!!!
