If you had to give up 5 convenience items today - what would they be?
Mine
1. Dishwasher - don't use it that much anymore - all my dishes need to be dirty to fill it.
2. Kettle - I could boil water on the stove.
3. Microwave - again don't use it that much and I've lived without one before.
4. Prepackaged rice and noodle dishes (Lipton sides) - I could make something similar if I needed to.
5. Individually wrapped snacks for DS's lunches - cheese sticks, granola bars etc...again I could make these myself and wrap in plastic wrap or baggie (I actually do when I make homemade granola bars).
Your turn.

Hmmmm... If I HAD to give stuff up...
1. Microwave. I only use it to reheat things. I can use the oven or stove for that.
2. Cell phone. I rarely use it anyway.
3. Dryer (but I don't want to! I use it for most of my laundry!)
4. Convenience foods, like cookies. I can always make my own.
5. Store-bought bread. I actually enjoy making my own once in a while. I could make it for all the time if I had to.

Prepackaged snacks.
Juice boxes - when we buy them, they disappear quick, so I usually force myself to fill bottles for the kids.
Drive-thrus. Usually takes just as long as making a pb&j from home.
Dryer in the summertime.

I've gotten rid of most of my convenience items already, and I think it's cheating to put a list of stuff I dont' have anyway.... HOWEVER...... I think I could live without...
a clothes washer. I'd whine more, but I could do it.
a vacuum cleaner. Again... the whining might get a little overpowering.. 3 dogs, 3 cats....
soap.... I s'pose I could make my own....
conditioner. My vanity would have to live without....
hair dye.... my vanity would scream and holler, but I could do it if I *had* to.
