    Default one year later . . .

I tracked and saved about $200.00 just from rolling my loose change. Probably another $100.00 given to DS for laundry at college.

Has anyone stepped it up to the next level --- tried saving all, or some, of any $1.00 bills?

How much did you save in loose change over a year's time?

    Congratulations, Debbie!

I am just starting my jars, but I am hoping for quite a bit.

I haven't done this on a yearly basis, but we started our coke bottle change tower in 2003, and we have about $379 in it. I put the money first in a little piggy bank, and when it gets full we count it and put it in the coke bottle so we have a record.

So I guess that works out to a little over $125 a year.

I haven't been doing it for a year yet, but I currently have $66.00 in my quarter jar. I haven't counted the other change yet.

Good job. I wish I could save our $1 bills but we need them too badly right now. Perhaps in a few years we'll be able to. We usually come up with about $150 every three our four months in change, but since we've stopped shopping, that's down quite a bit, lol.

I have no idea how much we've saved. I know that back in February, we took the change jar money out to spend at a sci-fi convention. I think we had about $35 to spend. We'd only saved it over a few short months. It built back up very quickly. Last week my washer broke, so I used the change jar money for a couple of trips to the laundromat. Probably spent around $16. Still have tons left.

I don't really keep track of it. We just use it if the need or desire arises. Sometimes DH will take the change to pay for cokes at work or something.
