What are you doing frugal today?
What frugal things are you doing today?
I have a load of clothes on the line outside. And I've had all the lights off all day.

I hung up the sleeping bags on the fence outside to dry.
We aren't allowed to have clotheslines so I'm calling all the stores to price out drying racks. I hang alot in the bathroom but with 5 kids there is too much to dry and because it is crowded it takes forever to dry.
We went for a bike ride and found $0.30 in pop cans
Cooking from scratch.
Picked enough peas from my garden for dinner tonight.
Had everything turned off all morning because we were out.
Try to keep the air conditioner on for only a few hours.

Cooked chicken on the grill early (before it gets too hot) for dinner, we're having that and salad for dinner. Just finished cooking a pot of beans with ham, we'll have that for dinner for at least two nights this week. I'm waiting until I can't stand it to put the A/C on.
“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

It's supposed to be over 100 all week....so I'm not doing any laundry, and very little inside cooking. Dh will grill tonight. All the lights are off and the blinds are closed to keep out the heat! A/C has to stay on as dh hates it when the house is over 75....he doesn't take the heat well at all.

Staying home, using box fan to assist the ac, cooking in the microwave to keep from heating the house, all blinds shut.

Ceiling fans off? I'd turn them on to keep the a/c from having to be so low.

We use our ceiling fans too, they make a huge difference in how much less we run our a/c.
I actually had leftovers that we brought home from our dd's in a cooler (she lives 3 hours away) from the weekend. We had eaten out several times and got carryout boxes for the left overs. I ate 2 meals today from those leftovers and now they're gone.

Laundry in cold water and hung outside.
Made homemade ice cream.
All meals at home, potato salad with free potatoes just dug yesterday from a neighbour and coleslaw from a cabbage from the same neighbour.
Leftover ham from the freezer.
Nice breeze here all day so sat on the porch and read and just turned the fans on,
Picked red currants to make red currant jelly - have been picking for days - they are just loaded. Cleaning and freezing until I am sick of picking and then will juice them all at once.
Made homemade salad dressing for my potato salad.
Think that's about it.
