Nice skill to have this using what you can find. Interesting article, thanks.

Wow! It really does remind you of what spoiled brats we are. That our imaginations and improvision is nil these days. We need the exact, perfect thing for every imagined "need". In fact we need gizmos for needs we didn't even know we had til the marketing campaign came out. I don't know if many of us have the skill and imagination to survive.

Thanks for posting. I really like the frugalliving about.com site. I've found the woman (I forgot her name eep!)who puts it together is very helpful and willing to take suggestions and give them.

I think that whole series is great! Nowadays alot of people would be lost and hungry waiting for someone to take of them, these people have done some thinking.

It really makes you think. I choose recipes very carefully these days. Sometimes the price of the California vegetables being marketed to us on the prairies in Canada is just disgusting. Only recently have I been using red peppers, they are just so expensive here. It's much better to find local recipes for local produce.

Interesting. Makes you wonder how much "good stuff" you toss every day.
