LOL, I've recently heard that called spam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typed tupperware and recently adopted the term, and yep, that's what we use, the aldis sour cream containers are the perfect size for soup and/or salad for hubbies lunch! I use margarine tubs, sour cream tubs, cottage cheese tubs too, my fridge looks like I bought them out of these three items.

Hubby is accustomed to having to open several containers to find what he's looking for

I use only Rubbermaid or those cheap Gladware-type containers. DH takes his lunch to work in them, and he often just pops the whole thing in the microwave. Can't do that with sour cream or margarine tubs. Also, I don't like the confusion that would cause me to open my fridge and see 5 containers of sour cream. I like to know at a glance what's in my containers.

    But that's just me.

I bought a HUGE box of Rubbermaid containers in all sizes a few years ago at Sam's for only $20. They've been put to good use.

I don't. I use mason jars for 99% of my storage needs and recycled containers (yogurt, sour cream) for anything else. I NEVER EVER heat in plastic.

I use both. Some of my tupperware is from my mother that she bought 30 years ago. Just goes to show tupperware could be for life.

I use them all. Doesn't matter. As long as I have something to put things in.

I love my Tupperware. I am so glad to have it. I signed up as a Tupperware consultant a couple of years ago. I got some great things in my "kit", and bought a few more. "I was my own best (and only!) customer". I spent maybe $60-75 for everything I got, including the kit. I will have this Tupperware for a very long time.

SHHHH! We call it all tupperware in our house, but don't tell the tupperware company!

I use spam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typed tupperware mostly, and am now going to adopt that term for my own! LOVE it!

As for the confusion about what is in it, leftovers or the original food, our little trick is to mismatch the lid to the dish. If it is mismatched, you know it is a leftover.

I do get some of the cheapo dollar store plastic containers, for little single servings of pudding and jello and stuff for the kids' lunchpails.

My mom is the QUEEN of 70s Tupperware. I was always embarrassed by it growing up, but now... at 23... I'm just like her. My favorite piece of Tupperware is an avocado green medium sized one I snagged from her. My boyfriend encouraged me to get rid of my once-massive Tupperware collection (sold it all on Ebay!). Since it's just the two of us, I don't really need so much.

I remember growing up my mom would always wash out the big margarine tubs and use them for various things... nice to remember that now *eyes margarine tub in fridge*

When we bought this house the cellar workroom had mayonaise jar lids screwed to the ceiling and then the jars twist on and off. Stored in them were nails, screws etc.

It is amazing that we buy a specific container for items all over the house when other generations would never have dreamed of doing such things.

And I wonder what storing and drinking all our foods/beverages from plastic is doing to us nevermind the environment. American's blood contain so much more of the chemicles from these plastics than other country's people.

I remember those 70's tupperware! LOL I was envious b/c our family never had them. We had our homemade versions - aka margerine tubs, yohurt tubs and pb jars/may jars. My dad owned a restaurant so imagine the BULK size jar of pickles - can you say excessive storage space? LOL

We only use the margerine tubs now and slowly I have purchased dollar store stuff which is actually quite impressive for a buck! I have few gladware/ziploc disposable if you wish types but they've been going on for years, why would I toss em? Besides, all that hard work I did to steal them all from ex bf's - I always had a running stock in my head of what shapes/sizes I had at home and needed ROFL!

I can honestly say I bought my first piece of tupperware 2 yrs ago - a dinner plate with lid with a steam vent! Med size, perfect for leftovers for lunch! I love it!

I too spent $1 - $2 on decent water bottles (not the leaky cheap ones nor disposable ones in a multi pack). I have a few of those so theres always cold water in the fridge for me, along with the brita and then in my car and on my desk!

I use Tupperware and I love it! I have other cheaper containers, but I no longer buy anything but Tupperware. The other stuff just falls apart, cracks, etc...
