How Much did you SPEND on Gas this MONTH?
Hi everyone!
I hope you gals don't mind me posting this new thread.
Due to high gas prices, I have been staying home so much more.
We tried to cut back on gas as much as possible, but it's still shocking to see how much we spend on gas every month.
I keep track of every dollar we spend, and so far this month (JULY-2006) We spend $310 on gasoline alone (Just pump gas today, so should last until end of this month). (We are spending $10 a day on gasoline!!!
) This is scary!
(I remember when each full tank of gas use to cost me only $10 to $15) Now, it costs me about $35 for each tank!
Just wondering how much everyone spend on gas this month?

Being that I'm a home health nurse and drive quite a few miles per day, I usually spend around $8/day. Thank goodness I have a pretty economical little stick-shift Mazda Protege. I shudder to think how much I'd be spending if I drove something bigger and less gas efficient.

I spent about 50 dollars to fill up my tank this month. I drive several miles everyday to work and back, but other than that... I don't go out much. I drive a Toyota Corolla, so I get pretty good gas mileage... even with the car being 13 years old. My boyfriend drives a big truck, and I think he spends about 50 dollars every time he fills up! ugggh.

we have spent $380 on this month...and that is with cutting out extra trips, doing errands on the way to/from work and staying close to home on the weekends. This is the highest our gas bill has ever been...I am so thankful we cut back long ago on our driving...if not our bill would be so much more....I am still looking at ways to cut it down further.

I'm putting about $90 every 2 weeks in the van, so $180 there. I drive about 45mins to & from work though (hopefully that will be ending in a couple of weeks). Dh's truck only about $35 every two weeks so another $70 there. so about $250/month on gas. Not bad considering when dh worked at his other job (the one he lost in January) he was spending $200/month for JUST his truck! And gas prices were lower then than they are now.
It's tight, but we are trying to conserve and I know it will get better when I start working closer to home.

So far, just under $300. It's that 'low', because dh rode his motorcycle to work (100 mile commute) most of this month. Last month, it was just over $500.

I haven't been keeping a record, I should start. I know it is alot more than it was six months ago. I would estimate we spend $90-100 a month. We also drive a Toyota Corolla. Both of us drive the car to work (different shifts), and starting next month DH will be driving to school (50 mile round trip) twice a week. We have been staying home much more to save on gas.

Between $80 and $100 depending on how much driving I do. Luckily I don't usually drive anywhere other than to work and back.

Just added it up and it came to $146.79 thus far. Yuck. That included a couple of extra trips that I don't usually make. So hopefully next month won't be as expensive. It looks like I came in $6.91 over what I had budgeted for the month.
Have a nice day. Traci

Well just finished the month on the CC and the total for fuel came to $350.00 for us, OUCH! That included filling up my truck though and it will probably be good for at least 3 months if not longer.

$188.58 so far for DH's big truck and my suv. DH works less than 10 miles away and kids and I have taken very limited car trips the past few weeks..so I think that is pretty good!

I've spent about $140 on gas this month. That's for my car only, and I only drive to work, school, and home. Anything extra we use DH's company vehicle, and the company pays for the gas. Thank goodness for that perk, or I don't know how we'd manage it.
