    Cool Homework: Tire inflation!

How about coming up with one idea per week for people to do. Something to save money or educate. And some of it may not apply to all, but that's okay.

This week I'm challenging everyone to check their tire pressure. This will save gas as it improves your mileage. Something people know, but don't do often enough.

So when you've accomplished this mission, respond.

So whoever thinks of an idea first on Monday can post one.

I like this idea. I don't have a car but we just checked the bikes and wagon tires. Does that count?

Great idea- one simple thing a week to save money- love it!

Anyway, all the tires on both of our cars are brand new (and boy does DH's car handle SO much better,) so I'm sure we're good, but my bike does need air, lol.

DH checks ours weekly. He has family in the tire business so he knows how importance of proper inflation for better gas milage and makes sure that they are always properly inflated. Great reminder about it though .

I just did this and I am hoping it helps. This is a great idea to get me motivated to save money. One thing a week seems easy rather than trying to tackle all at once. Keep those tips coming!

Good ideal. Last week my ds and I went to the town and heard bump, bump, bump, guess what my tire was almost flat!! We got lucky and went to the station and put some air in it. I told dh, he checked the tires and one of the tires was at 25 and should of been at 32. I told him I though my tire looked low before all this happened. I will be sure to keep my eyes on them.
I will be waiting for next Mondays homework!

Just had new tires put on the jeep, so I shouldn't need air yet, but this is a good idea. will be thinking about next week's subject.
