Default Yikes! $600 insurance bill on top of everything else!

Oh brother! We just got the first insurance bill for our new insurance. $615!!!! Yikes!!! It was SUPPOSED to be around $300!!!!!!! Add this to all the other bills that are due between now and the time the insurance is due (the 11th) and we're about $100 in the red. Thats not including gas and groceries. This also doesn't include the bills due after the 11th!!!! I wanna cry!!!

What in the world are we supposed to do? I guess its a good thing I've been stocking up the pantry and learning to be frugal. Plus it helps he doesn't have to use our personal vechile to drive to work (he drives the big truck home at night).

Sorry for the vent. I just needed to get it off my chest.

Oh my goodness! Can you call the insurance company and ask if you can make smaller payments? Divide it up? that's what we do for our homeowners ins.
meanwhile, *HUGS* I know it's tough to get all those bills at once. Hang in there, maybe something can be worked out. And feel free to vent anytime!

Thanks guys. Kathy, I hadn't thought about calling them. Since its our first payment and we'll have another one due with them next month, I don't know. But the worse they can do is say no right? I'll call them.

I was also going to recommend you call the insurance company. That's a huge discrepancy to think that you'll owe $300, but be billed for over $600! I hope you can work something out.

They may have billed your first and last months together or something like that. When it rains it pours, doesn't it? Hang in there, I promise it'll get better! We're all here for you.

We have drive insurance. You can go to driveinsurance.com. We have three vechicles. Two are liability only and one is full coverage. It was $236 a month and we got a letter saying it was reduced by $100. We have the same coverage we had with our local insurance company. I don't know if this will help.

    Hugs to you.

May I ask if this is car insurance, medical,....what? That just seems outrageous, especially if it's every month!

I would definately call the insurance company too to see if there was a misunderstanding.

Cathy, its car insurance. My DH said its so high this month b/c its supposed to be a 5 month payment plan and they sent us our paper work late that we had to sign and send back so they could send us our first bill so they're charging us last month and this month together. Well its not our problem that they were late with the paper work. Its supposed to be $312 a month But now that I think about it, if you add 2 months togetther you don't get $615 which is what they are charging us.
I'm going to get DH to call them tonight to see if there is something we can do about this. Esp since we just had something else come up. Can't say what it is yet. But I'll tell you tomorrow.

Hugs to ya! Hope hubby can get it all handled and that whatever else it is that came up isn't to major.

Isn't it amazing how much they want from us for insurance? And it seems the moment you pay it they want more!
