    Default This Week's Yard Sale Brag

    Hi ladies. Here's my yard sale brag for the week:

    ~ 1 brand new, still in the box microwave = $25 (worth $50 at least)
    ~ 2 dining chairs = $10 ($5 each)
    ~ 1 marble rolling pin with stand = $1 (I actually dropped the bloody thing and broke the wooden handle, but it'll be easy enough to glue back together)
    ~ 1 5 drawer dresser = free! (perfect for 's new apartment)
    ~ 1 box set of Anne Rice's "Mayfair Witch Trilogy" on tape = $1
    ~ 1 denim dress = $1
    ~ 1 black t-shirt = $1
    ~ 1 black tank top = $0.50
    ~ 1 small stainless steel mixing bowl and 1 plastic tupperware container = $1 for the two
    ~ 1 pair thermal oven mitts = $1

    And the creme de la creme...

    ~ 1 working record player with two working speakers = $5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Total Cost: $46.50

    way to go...i can relate to the record player , i just got a similar score..we're french and its hard to find french things for reasonable prices and a friend of dh's got a bunch of disney books with records in french at a garage sale for us years ago for the kids...so now she can listen to them...they are the same i listened to as a kid..

    Those are some good finds. I didn't go out to yard sales today, because I'm having some trouble with my eye. I'll be heading out next week with Dh though. Enjoy your finds!

    Those all sound like great buys! I love yard sales.

    Yesterday I spent $14 at this one yard sale, they had TONS of nice baby clothes (I'm expecting my second in Dec/Jan), and walked away with three grocery bags stuffed full of great baby items in all sizes, mostly carter's (my favorite brand) and a couple of crib sheets/bibs/blankets to boot. It was great and I'm still pumped up about it! I keep admiring and sorting the clothes into piles over and over. LOL!
