Default What is your financial personality?

Now some people don't have any money because they just don't make enough but there are sometimes other reasons. This is an interesting article.

Good articles. Dh is a foot dragger. I'm an emotional spender. Though some of my spendthrift friends would say I'm an obsessive tightwad! I don't think so though. I always look at cost effectiveness of frugal activities. But I consider health and other issues too.

I think it's very important to point out people may earn good incomes and have all kinds of reasons for not being in a good position financially.

The one theme I take issue with is the amount of money needed for retirement. I'm thinking the American social security must be a lot worse than the Canadian Pension Plan that all Canadians get at retirement. If I had $500,000 in investments up here, I'd be living well in retirement! I'd be getting CPP, OAS and my investment income. As I understand it, nothing gets clawed back unless my income goes over $60,000cdn/yr. This assumes no pension otherwise.

Looks like my dh and I are foot draggers. Now that he is 61 and I am almost 59, we are thinking we better get serious and do something about our bills etc.
