It is almost fall time
and I am having a garage sale next weekend talked about this weekend but with labor day didn't think I would do as well so plans for the following. So I decided since today is such a crappy day that I would go thru my fall decorations and get out what I wanted to put out and then get rid of some of the other things. And I bet I got rid of over 1/2 of my things. I hope they sell.
I decided that I would keep certain things and go from there. I kept the things that meant something to me. So I had a full green tote and now it will be less then 1/2 full when I put things away.
Just had to share.
so how many of you go thru your decorations before you put them out? I am going to do this with my christmas things. I have 2 big trees and am only putting up one and maybe getting a small table type to put our special ornaments on like my dh trains, pets ornaments, special ones from when we were little and so forth. But the one I will put up will be the snowman/candy cane tree it is my favorite.
So how many of you go thru your decorations to get rid of ones you don't want anymore? I feel great about it to!!

I usually do the Christmas decorations as I am putting them out for the year. I got rid of a lot of stuff a couple of years ago. I could probably do that again soon.

I have very little in the line of decorations for day to day, but I have lots of christmas ornaments and I only have a few that don't mean anything to me. So, I guess no, I don't get rid of them...:-(

I probably won't be getting rid of any decorations. Been thinking about getting my fall ones out and start putting them up soon. I know the calendar says different but I consider the first of Sept. as fall. I have my fall ones up for 3 months and in November add Thanksgiving ones to them. The day after Thanksgiving put up Christmas decorations.
