AutumnLynn, how do you do it?
Every month I am in awe when I read your list of stuff you get for free! What is your secret? And will that secret work in Canada?
Please share!

daisy Girl, somethings In usa dont work here in Canada, we cant get all the free coupons they can get, but you should get some in Ontario with the Sunday paper. Check out your bulk stores too and see what theyask for memberships their, we have none like that in PEI.
Look online and search for free canada stuff, save.ca, etc. u8 can get some there.

I am always hanging my head in shame at the woeful freebie results I get as a Canadian. Usually most of my freebies come from being part of a large family. We all share and donate surplus to others in the family.
Sometimes I come upon an unexpected freebie...like extra food at closing time at the mall. They have to throw it out anyways, so they often give it away to people picking up their kids who work at the food court, or to the kids themselves.
Coupons are virtually useless here on the prairies. Forget getting things for free. And a lot of Internet coupons aren't honored. There are no double or triple coupon days where we live. The stores do honor the save.ca coupons, but I often find they are for unnecessary things or items we really don't need. Plus you can buy generic for cheaper than the coupon.
Because of the poor quality and high prices of supermarket stores locally, we've switched to buying farm fresh (pick your own) veggies and fruit at premium prices. It's the same price as going organic here, but a greater variety of foods. We seem limited in our organic market. And the u-pick food is much better quality than the supermarket. I will not buy woody strawberries again.
Being in Ontario you might have more choice, but here on the Canadian prairies we sure don't. We grow our own whenever possible, and process it for winter consumption.
