i can't remember the last time i used a coupon. nothing i buy ever seems to be coupon material! i live with the basics and have given up convenience foods and fancy cleaners so coupons aren't really that useful to me. unless they come up with coupons for carrots or baking soda.....i'm out...lol

In the last 3 months I have saved $822.60 in coupons. I am very into coupons and love to save money. I hate to pay full price for something so I watch the sales and then match up my coupons to the sale. DH loves it.

I save at least $200 a month with coupons. I am into serious coupon shopping! I get many things FREE each week, and I DO find coupons for the basics, like flour, baking soda, sugar, cooking oil, raisins, milk, yogurt, cheese, sour cream, oatmeal, pasta, toilet paper (don't know how to make my own!), toothpaste, deodorant, bath soap, shampoo, razors, etc. We are lucky enough to have two grocery chains here that double coupons, one of them doubles up to 50¢ coupons, and the other will double up to $1.00 coupons. Here is a list of my freebies from just the last week:

    (8) six-packs of Sun-Maid raisins
    (3) 4-packs of Charmin toilet paper
    (5) boxes of Quaker Oatmeal breakfast cookies
    (1) 18 oz. carton of Quaker Old Fashioned Oats
    (3) boxes of Kellogg's Smart Start Healthy Heart cereal
    (6) Yoplait Yogurt smoothies
    (4) 6.4 oz. tubes of Colgate toothpaste
    (2) two-pack bars of Dove Soap

I am sure there are a few things I am forgetting. But we get things like this free every week with coupons. If I added the things we purchased for 50-90% off, the list would be MUCH LONGER.

Gosh, I was thinking about coupons for basics, and I almost forgot the salad! We get lots of free Fresh Express salad and coleslaw, and LOADS of FREE salad dressing, mustard, ketchup, and BBQ sauce with coupons!

    Just a question...........

where do you get your coupons?????

Im in Canada, and so often the coupons I find online (as well as most freebies on websites) are for the US only and I cant use them here.

I just dont see that many coupons out there!

    Cheers

    Hi Shell,

so where do you get your coupons? Or do you use any? I have a few - usually from those P&G inserts and stuff, but I sure wish I had more!

Nice to see other canucks around here, on a few of my other boards there are very few Canadians.

Hope to see you around.... I'm on "the rock" by the way.

Coupons very scarce here in Canada so never use them. Don't think I would have the patience to be bothered with them anyway - must take a lot of time.

I live in California and the area I'm in doesn't do any double coupons anymore. I just tend to shop at the large discount grocery stores.

Scrap Mama, off topic, but your siggy says you have THREE blessing and I count four!

CSPP04, I use coupons for basics like toothpaste, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, deoderant, cat food, dog food, etc. My last trip to the store, I bought five bottles of mustard for less than the cost one ONE at full price. Yep, we will use them up before they go bad!

I joined the Grocery Game website last weekend. I got some good stuff and savings with my very first trip to the store, but the more weeks you save coupons and use your list the more you save.

I feel very lucky to live in the land of double coupons. I get my coupons mainly from the Sunday newspaper inserts, and I get one or two extra from single friends who don't clip coupons. I also get some from ebay or clipping services. Wal-Mart (in the states, anyway) sells a magazine called All You and it is filled with some great coupons every month. It is also available by subscription.

I just remembered a few more things that I got free with coupons this week:

    (4) 16 oz. squeeze bottles of Welch's Grape Jam
    (3) 5 oz. pouches of Star Kist Marinated Tuna Filets
    (3) boxes of Mrs. Smith's Pie Slices - 2 servings per box

I like goodwin joined the grocery game and that is how I have been saving so much money. I love it.

I also shop and watch clereance items at Target I just got dh some Vive mens only shampoo on clearence and he really likes it and I had coupons. I love to watch for clereance you get more bang for your $$.

I get one major paper delivered on sundays and then usually go and get 2 other more local papers and get my coupons that way. I also get some from my mom and granny. It is great

Like last night I went to Target and saved $10 with my coupons. My dh loves all the savings that we have been doing it is great for both of us. Our goal is to save enough to beable to go on vacation next year to Las Vegas.

But the grocery game is great and helps alot. I do not do the list were you pay anymore I have figured out a lot of the deals on my own and also from reading the discussion board you can get some tips from there also.

Good luck to anyone who is saving money on there groceries at least that is one bill that you can control.
