I have been a SAHM for 5 years now and I love it. At first I felt a little lost but then I fell into a regular but flexible routine. My most important job is my husband (currently deployed) and my children. Everything else can wait. I get up every morning and get ready for my day and get my ds fed, packed up and off to school. Then my dd and I play, do her schoolwork, do our chores, and then she gets showered and dressed for school. I love my schedule and I love being home. We made the decision together 5 years ago for me to quit working and be home full time. Of course there are times we wish we had more money but there are even more times that we are thankful that I am home. Good luck with your transition.

Congratulations!!!!!
I've been at home since a difficult first pregnancy 10 years ago. Now I have three kids (2 in school). I like to follow flylady as well. I get my boring chores done first thing in the morning and then all the volunteer stuff and extras are after lunch. One thing I try to remember is that when you continue to give and give and give to your family all day you start to get a little resentful and grouchy if you don't have something you like to do to fill yourself back up again. Do you have a hobby or a passion? I love to quilt and sew. Keep up with what you love to do and you won't get lost in monotony.
