Cloth napkins vs paper
I had planned on buying some fabric and making cloth napkins to save on paper products. Well, I found a deal at a close-out type place.... A bag of 50 cloth napkins for $5.00. They are really nice and large too. I don't think I could have made them for that price. I really like cloth better than paper anyways.

I use cloth napkins. I paid $1 each for mine on clearance. I love using cloth all the time!

Great deal! I made mine from an old tablecloth, but you can't beat readymade for $5!

Wow, Dixie, that was a great deal. I, too, love cloth napkins. Where did you find them so cheap (hoping that have some here, too!!).

I get ALL of mine at the thrift store or garage sales. I usually buy them for about .10 each. We never,e ver used the paper ones!

Wow! What a wonderful deal. I am feeling inspired to bring out all my cloth ones as well. For the daycare kids I have been using paper napkins, but maybe that is silly. Wouldn't be that much extra work to throw a dozen cloth ones into the wash! Thanks for the inspiration!

That's a great deal! I use cloth napkins that I've bought at numerous garage sales for about .10 ea. . I throw them in the washer with the appropriate colors when doing laundry and never ever iron them. I remember reading about someone spending time ironing their napkins. I don't have the time or patience for that.

for the kids here (esp when i had a daycare) we use face clothes, 3/1$ they wipe really well and are more absorbant, i fold them all in half and keep them in a napkin holder, they are all the same nice blue as my table cloth..while having mom over for lobster on mothers day, she LOVED the idea as it really wipes well....and are handy for quick spills too
