Default My copy of The Complete Tightwad Gazette came today

I only read about 90 pages, but I leaned 3 more tricks. I have read so many of you talking about the Tightwad Gazette, I found it on Amazon (I must say, It took over a month to get my copy) I was trying to read it all afternoon, with all kinds of interuptions. Was loving every word ! I can't wait to dive into even more of it. So glad I invested in this book.

Isn't it ironic that a book about saving money is so expensive, lol I just checked half.com and it's pretty pricey even used. I did get that one from the library over a year ago, but I never made it all the way through. That's a BIG book

I love my CTG, I bought it for myself for my birthday years ago and reread portions of it all the time. It is a great book, I love having all 3 editions in one complete work.

The 3 tricks....well I have heard of people washing out baggies before, but really thought, is this going to save me money and is it worth it? When I stop and think about all those baggies we have thrown away...I'm going to give it a try. Also the one were you can save on toilet paper by flattening the roll...so it doesn't turn as easily (had to go do that one, right away).
Also making your own price book..so you can see if that is really a deal or not. This last one should help me alot, I sometimes look and a sale and think is that a deal or not?

I am glad to hear that everyone enjoys this book. I just ordered it the other day. I tried to get it from the library, but there are about 15 people already on the waiting list!

I searched all over for a good price on this book. The best I found was on abebooks.com. It's a clearinghouse for many, many used booksellers. I bought my copy of the Complete Tightwad Gazette (all 3 books in 1) for $8.57 including shipping!

I checked out the copy of the complete Tightwad Gazette from my library. I am only about 60 pages (book is about 500 pgs) but I love the tips. I wanted to look at the book before purchasing it. I might have to buy it to keep it on hand.
