Default At work today and looked down and pants had hole in knee

Had to hit the Goodwill after work. My pants broke a hole in the knee at work, I only had 2 pair for work pants and so I found another pair...also found a large ucla bruins sweater for hubby (he loved it). Found a work shirt, a pair of jeans and a nice fuzzy sweatshirt for me (warm and toasty) oh and a pair of nike sweat pants (really nice) I spent $32.24 "Wow" six items for 32.24. I just love Goodwill and I signed up for my Goodwill card for an additional 10- 15% off.

After I got everything washed and dryed today, I took that UCLA sweatshirt into the living room and put it on in front of my husband. His eyes popped open and he was all excited...."do you want it honey?" He couldn't wait for me to get it off and try it on. Next question "were did you get it?" You have to understand my husband has this weird belief ....this is what he says "they are dead people clothes". Funny I told him after he tried it on, and he loved it so much..he didn't take it off. I think he finally is understanding that it's all in his head. Every item I got today worked out and everything fit really good, feeling great I saved so much.

I had bought a new sweatshirt at Ross not too long ago, it was a fairly good deal for a new item. The problem happened after I had washed and dryed it, I had intentionally bought a large size ...I expected the thing to shrink...but good grief!!! That was going to be my basic really good sweatshirt for the winter, well now I Know better. That's one thing I like about Goodwill and Thriftstores....the item has been washed and is already at actual size.

WTG on the good thrift store deal. I've gotten quiet a few clothes (and nice work clothes too) from one of my local thrift stores. I can always find something great there.

You got some really neat stuff. I didn't realize thrift shops had so much to offer.

Great deals! I love Goodwill! I usually go a couple of times a month. My wardrobe is probably 75% of clothes and shoes I've bought from there. Almost all are brand names such as... Gap, Limited, Express, Aeropostale, etc.. and look like new

LOL. I just woke up my poor sleeping kitty giggling at that. It sounds like something my DH would say!

He is so funny about things like that, He told me this morning....."Just no dishes, I don't want to eat off someone elses plate". Does he realize he does that every time we go out to eat. It's so funny how people think. I remember my mother and me Thrift shopping a lot when I was growing up, whats the big deal? She always took the stuff home and all dishes and everything got a good bleach and scrub...good as new. The clothes always washed in Hot water and a cup or so of bleach. I have more of a problem staying in a hotel room, then I ever do with Thrift store items. How do you now they washed those sheets and do they ever wash those bedspreads (ewww). Funny my husband has no problem with hotel rooms.

Even when you buy brand new clothes, there's no telling how many countless other people went to the dressing room and tried on the exact same thing. Men can be so funny!
