Default Follow up ? to my4littlebuffaloes about CVS...

So when you buy a free after ECB item, you get the amount of the item in "in store credit" right? That's what ECB's are....right? Then you can print them off for the next visit and use them after 2 days, right? It's like putting your Walgreens rebate back on your card (only you don't get the 10% add on) am I correct? I understand that if you take part in a buy $10 and get $5 ECB's that it's not dollar for dollar rebate but still it's good. (If I'm right about this)

And, can you also combine coupons with these deals like Walgreens does?

    TIA for the answers....

Good question? I had a lot of responses and it did help me sort through how things work, but I was a little confused still on that one. I just hadn't figured out a good way to word it yet to ask again. Thanks for doing that for me. Hopefully we will figure it all out! LOL

You can print the coupon off 2 full days after you have made the purchases. When you log into you account on te website it will have an "access now" link to print your coupon. Then you can use it in CVS just like cash. It is basically in store credit, with certain exclusions, like tobacco, prescriptions etc...

Yes, you can use coupons with them as well. Many times I have (for example) bought an item priced at $3, used a $1 off coupon, gotten the full $3 worth of ECB coupon and then mailed my receipt for the item in with a rebate form and gotten full rebate as well. Making the item better than free.

CVS offers many of the "buy $20 worth of this brand and get $10 in ECB". But read these closely and keep receipts. I have been cheated out of my ECB 2 times on these and have had to write CVS and fax a copy of receipt to get it starightened out. But other than that I have never had a problem with them and highly recommend taking advantage of the program.

    Hope this helps a little.
