Default My garage sale brag from the weekend

Im not sure if this is the right place to brag, but Im gonna!!!

DD is almost two and a half - she is tiny, barely 20lbs soaking wet. She is normally wearing 18 month clothes.

Since fall is here now, I realised that she needs some new clothes, as all her long pants are too short for her (even tho I have to put a safety pin in the waist to hold them up)

I came upon a garage sale that had advertised in the paper - name brand kids clothes. It was all girls clothes, the lady had two DDs one just a little older than mine. It was all Old Navy, Gap, Carters and Please Mum. All size 18 months, 24 months, 2 and 3.

I picked out a few things, then slyly looked at the woman and said "How much for all of it?" She confered with her husband and said $40. I said, for $30 Ill have it all out of here in 5 minutes. They jumped at it!!!

Last night my mum and I went through everything and this was the tally - she was asking for $1 per piece at the garage sale.............

    8 tank tops
    27 short sleeve shirts
    18 long sleeve shirts
6 pairs of PJs (so 12 pieces)
    39 pairs of pants/capris
    13 pairs of shorts
    6 dresses
    4 hoodie jackets
    3 sweaters
    1 leather jacket/skirt outfit
    1 raincoat
    3 hats
    1 fleece vest

And that is what Im keeping...... in the pile of too small/ugly was.......

5 pairs of PJs (of which 3 are boys and I will give to my sister in law whose little boy is 4 months old)
    1 pair pants
    1 skirt
    1 track suit
    3 tops

PHEW!!!!!! So if my math is right, then I got 153 pieces (at $1 a piece) for $30. So I actually paid about 20 cents per piece.

Man Im lovin this!!! WOO HOO!!!!
