    Default I did it!

Well, I thought it would be tough to start funding the emergency fund...but due to my own absent mindedness I was able to do it. A little background - I work 2 jobs, 1 full time and 1 part time the full time pay is direct deposit, part time is paid by check.
Well, I got my paycheck from my part time job 2 weeks ago and since I was going from 1 job to the other; I quickly stuffed the check in my dayplanner (with my full time stubs) and headed to my full time job.
Well, this week I picked up my part time pay again and thought to myself, I never cashed last weeks check . So, lo and behold, there is was with my full time stubs. Instead of cashing it, I went and opened my emergency fund account. I figured if I didn't miss it for the past 2 weeks, I'm not going to miss it now.
So, due to my own error, I was able to start my emergency fund
    It is what it is.

Way to go -- amazing how much we spend that we don't really need to - seems like we often only spend it because it is there.

    Good job!

Great job! Maybe you could put every other check from that job into your EF and you could fund it in just 4 more months, if you didn't miss it now, you might not miss it if you did every other time .

Good job! I also get 1 check direct deposit and 1 paper check. DH is always pushing me to deposit my paper check but I know as soon as I do it will be spent. I have one I've been holding onto for almost 2 weeks, and I will have another on Thursday.
