    Default What's for dinner

    Thought this might be a good post - give us all some ideas on your economical meals.
    To-nights dinner here is potato soup (made from last nights left-over potatoes and just a couple of newly cooked ones.
    Grilled ham and cheese sandwiches (made with free ham)

    Tilapia. I buy it cheap frozen from Sam's. Leftover couscous. I saw that one of the grocery stores has yellow squash on sale, and I have a cookbook from the library with a recipe for squash casserole, so I'm going to make that for me. DH, who hates squash, will get broccoli, which I loathe. I found the broccoli on sale today, too.

    Crockpot chicken fajitas, homemade guacomole' and whole wheat flour tortillas.

    ~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~

    We had sausage patties (marked down at the grocery,6 in a pkg. cooked 2 & froze the rest in 2 bags of 2)on buns, homemade coleslaw to go with. Dh had some sauteed peppers from the garden on his sandwich.
