    Question Tide~ Liquid or powder??????

Which do you use, and why . I have been using the liquid, and it seems like I am going thru it like crazy. I have started using only half a capful, but it seems like the clothes don't smell as good. Also, do you let your tub fill up then add clothes , then soap? Or put soap in first, clothes, water? Help!!!!!!!!

    Thanks,
    Sheri

I only use liquid, because it isn't as messy. I turn on the machine, put the soap in, let it foam a bit in the water, then add the clothes. I don't really have a reason for doing this, it's just what seems to work best for me!

Well, i dont use either but DH is a plumber and he told me that if you live in a rural area and are on a septic tank/well system, that you should use liquid because the powder doesn't degrade fast enough and blocks your septic....costing you big bucks in pumping fees/repairs!!!
But apparently, powder is fine in town sewers etc.

I dont' always use Tide, but I do use liquid detergent.
I have a front loader & I have this "drawer" that pulls out for the detergent, softener & bleach. I put everything in it, close it up & then start the washer.

Liquid here, although I have a ton of (free) coupons for the Oxiclean ball and just started using that a few days ago.

I also use the liquid. I let the water start filling the tub and then add the detergent and then the clothes.

I do the same as the other ladies, I start the water, pour in my liquid detergent and then add my clothing.

Dh uses Gain, not Tide, but he said he only uses liquid. He starts the water, adds detergent, adds baking soda and then adds the clothes.

Yup Laura, and I found out the hard way that if you don't use HE detergent, your machine will break. dh works for Sears repairing appliances and he told me numerous times that this would happen. I thought he was crazy and didnt' listen to him.Well, we had to fix it last week!! LOL
Only HE for me, well I started making homemade because it has almost no suds at all which is what HE detergent is.

I have a Maytag Neptune Top Loader. I have to use the HE detergent. I use the liquid Tide. Mine has a place in the lid to put the detergent and it dispenses it as well as a place on each side for bleach and fabric softener.

I have a front load too, but I use powder, whatever I get a good deal on. Lately that has been tide. I only need to use about 2 tbsp of tide and my laundry is still clean and smells good, and because I use so little I've never had a problem with my washer.

I always use the liquid. Why you say? Because that's what my DW told me.
