I kicked Murphy out on Tuesday!!!

He's been at my home since October 13 when DH ruined the oil pan of his old, beat-up but functional 1991 BMW (and the engine). This put us into car payments for a truck (that DH always wanted). This created a lot of stress between DH and me because I do not want us to pay for a car until he has reduced his debts (see signature). But I digress.

Then last Sunday, the hot water heater broke. Fortunately, DH is a plumber but we had to purchase a new one (9-year warranty). This put us out about $400!!! Fortunately, we have the EF which we used.

YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE, Murphy!!!

May I offer a different perspective? Perhaps this was a blessing in disguise! You say your tires were bald. Bald tires are unsafe, so perhaps you are being saved from future disaster by replacing those tires!

He has been at my house too! Thanksgiving morning my DH is just standing in the bathroom flushing the toilet over and over. I looked into the bowl and noticed that there was very little water in it. Dh then went to go into the basement to have a look at things when we heard the water or should I say the sewage fall. Yep, you probably guessed correctly, our sewage pipe broke. It drained into the basement. Gross! Dh has put a band aid on it but now it needs to be replaced.
