I re-use tea bags
~It's a small thing but I get tightwad feel-goods when I do it! I like high quality tea that runs about .08 a bag on sale. So I store my used bags in the fridge and when I have 2 I can brew a great cup. I get every third cup free! I drink over 200 cups of tea a year so I save $5 doing this little thing. And the little things really do add up! Oh yeah!~

I've always used tea bags twice, I guess that I learned it from mother, she always did that. It tastes just as good the second time!

I drink my tea so strong I would have nothing but a hot cup of water left over.
I do love my Mrs. Tea and drink at least 3 cups everyday.

I don't drink tea that often, maybe a couple of times a week. I have used the same bag twice before though.

Thats a great idea! My mug is really big so I think I'm getting 2 cups already but I'll give it a try. I don't like it too strong so it might just work for me. BTW I came across a box of PG Tips Tea at the discount food store and its the best tea. It says England's #1 tea on the box so I figured it would be good!

hmmm.... I will try this also ~ I make tea by the gallon - has to be sweet tea
~ I usually give my spent tea bags to the house plants after I use them - I'm sure the plants won't mind if I try to get one more gal of tea first -

I have tried this before but it didn't seem to work very well for me. Maybe I need to put the used one in the refrigerator until my next cup. I will give it another try, it can't hurt.

PG Tips
Living in England, I can tell you that most Brits do drink PG tips. In fact, I have a box in my cupboard now! Other popular Brit tea is Tetley and Typhoo but in my opinion they aren't as good as PG tips! At least I know that when I go back stateside I can still get my fave tea!PHP Code:BTW I came across a box of PG Tips Tea at the discount food store and its the best tea. Don't forget you can reuse the bags again for a 4th time, to dye fabric for projects. I'll do this with some fabrics to make cheap napkins or table cloths. If you ever have the fruity herbal teas, they can dye a nce red/purple or blue. THese can make nice colors for valances to spruce up a window.
It is what it is.

I reuse my tea bags too. I have a mug that is a pint Ball canning jar with a handle on it. I fill it with water, nuke it for 3 minutes and drop in the tea bag. By the time that cup is almost gone, I fill it with water again (tea bag is still in the mug), nuke it again and get another mug. It's not necessarily the same strength in both mugs of tea, but I don't care. Strong, weak, I'll drink tea either way.
BTW...I drink at least 4 mugs a day. I don't know what that adds up to caffeine wise.Kim
