Hi ladies
I just wanted to stop by and give an update. I've been spending a lot of time with my family and trying to work on things there and I'm glad to report that things are improving. My dh seems to be out of his funk and actually approached me about setting money aside for next summer and brainstorming about ways to make more. I told him I was considering going back to school and he said he fully supports the idea, but he wants me to consider finding something full-time/part-time for about a year and putting it all away in an EF so that I wouldn't have to work at all while I go to school. I told him I thought we'd be further ahead if I went to school and worked PT. I understand what he's saying about being able to focus, but the sooner I get started and finish, the sooner our income increases substantially. In any case, it's on the table to be evaluated. We have so much going on between work, the kids, and the holidays right now. Our meeting of the creditors is Dec. 13 and even though I know we did everything right, I'm really scared and anxious about it.
My dd's birthday party is tonight. It's her golden birthday so I'm trying to make it extra special. I found someone who could make a cake for her without the usual frosting because frosting aggravates her reflux issues. It costs a little more but she only has one birthday a year. Perhaps next year I can learn how to make this special frosting for her, but with all of the stuff I had to do this week, making a special cake wasn't going to happen. Plus, this one is going to be shaped like a crown....I'm not that talented yet, lol. All five girls she invited are coming and it's a slumber party. I'm so excited for her. When we moved here I didn't think she'd have anyone to invite to her party. All of the mothers seem really nice too so maybe I'll make some new friends too.
AJ caught the first stomach bug of the year. Luckily, he's doing fine today but I thought for sure I'd have to cancel the party. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that none of us get it. I hate the stomach bugs.
Dh's dad agreed to go in 50/50 on AJ's big xmas gift. He wants a train set so badly. I'm waiting to hear back from a woman in my playgroup as she wants to sell hers and I'm sure it's a better bargain. He's in love with Thomas so I thought we could get the tracks that are compatible with Thomas and then just the little steam engine himself to save some money.
Dh finally got his license so now he'll be bumped up to where he should have been to begin with. He has to take some paperwork down the office and then they'll cut a check for his retro pay. That should be quite a bit to put away towards next summer
Plus any extra we don't normally get anyway.
Things are looking up slowly but surely. I'm glad to have some stress alleviated. I feel a lot better. I'm so grateful for all of the support I received here. It really means a lot to me.

I am so glad that things are going better for you. Keep your head up.
My nephew loves loves loves Thomas the train. I got a cute play mat at Target for $9.99 it looks like the track and everything it is rolled up and is neat. I think all I bought my nephew was Thomas but hey he loves it so that is all that matters.
I am happy that things are going better thou. Good luck with the Creditors on Dec 13. Take care and have fun at your dd party.
