lets see how frugal i can be .......
dh had his surgery yesterday, it went ok. but now i am in a pinch, our income will be cut by about 400.00 this month. i have already:
made this months truck payment out of last months money so i don't need to worry about that.
went thru and looked to see what i have so food won't cost much i hope
i will take the change i have been saving and cash it in this morning, to finish buying gift cards for christmas
i bought most of the fabric i need last month to finish the kid's quilts
i went and got a library card so no cost for books and movies now
dh won't be driving anywhere so he won't need gas money
any other ideas?

well, I guess all meals should come from home no matter what - will 120 be enough to pay any bills that are due?
you could list a few things for sale on Craig's List in your area - that may bring in a little bit (sort of like an online yard sale)

Maybe you could list what you have in your food pantry and we can all brainstorm and see if we can make it stretch for you. Wishing you the best of luck.

i cashed in "my points" and was able to get one couple a 25.00 gc for christmas, then i had enough points left to get a 10.00 for another couple. i put 15.00 cash with it to make up the 25.00. then spent 25.00 on the 3rd couples. all these were to walmart

Do you have any aluminum you could cash in? That would be the only thing I can think of. Good Luck!

If you are in the habit of buying books you could sell some of them on half.ebay.com or amazon.com

The idea is to spend as little as possible on groceries for a while.
Go through the pantry, cupboards, freezer, fridge and figure out as many meals as possible. And hopefully, you'll limit your grocery shopping to things like milk.
Bake some snacks for the kids. Cake, cookies, brownies.
Any jello boxes lying around the back of the cupboard?
Make a mega batch of pancakes/waffles/muffins for breakfast so you don't have to buy cereal. Use the extras during the week for your own toaster waffles etc.
