Had nice long talk with Dh
Hi,
Well I couldn't sleep last night. It bothered me about my double bills. Today is a new day and a new way of thinking. I was awake when dh got up at 4:30 I got up at 5 am. I went out to my parlor and had a talk with him. I asked him why he don't get mad at me he said he just can't which was nice to hear. He told me he loved me and we WILL get everything straightened out financially.
As far as helping out it has to stop. Dh said there has to be a limit. He finds fault with my family member whose dh would rather the family starve then go out and get a second job. Dh was NOT happy that I never got the money back for the cigarettes or the $20. And Dh knows she has two boys that are 17 and 18 and they have to hand their entire check over and still they continue to hit people up for money or cigarettes and it is preferably me. Dh has worked two jobs in the past for several years and feels the man should provide for the family.
So I have promised Dh I won't give away money anymore. You know my Dh plugs his butt in all types of weather sometimes working 14 hr days he should be coming home to the home cooked meals like he used to and I am gonna make it my business to do that. I am a sahw and proud of it. I want to do my job right and today I have decided is day 1 of the new way of thinking. But my new thoughts will also be put into action.
The only thing I might not ever be able to do is not give $ to my animal charities. I never leave Petsmart without dropping a $10 into the little thing for the homeless pets. Animals are my weakness love love love em. Dh said not to stop that because for someone that wasn't an animal lover he sure is now
Thank you all so much for your posts to me. You truly donot know how better I feel when I can post and vent here. You are all cyber angels

I'm the same when it comes to animals. It just breaks my heart when I see the news reports of people abandoning their pets when they leave their property and then someone finds them starving and skinny and shivering in the cold. I mean, they can not speak for themselves and are capable of such pure unconditional love, and to see some of the things that happen to them. It is just too much sometimes.
I know its gonna be hard to say no to your family and things when the situation arises again, but you can do it. You can.

Oops! Just saw this. I posted a long response to your other post -- must have been one you posted yesterday. Glad to hear you talked to your dh. You are so lucky to have such "Gold" for a dh. Be sure to let him know how much you appreciate all his hard work and understanding. I'm glad you're working from the same angle now. Best of luck! God bless.
