Great dry skin cream
This is not my invention--I found this recipe online:
These can be found at the Dollar Store or Wal-Mart
1 (16 oz.) bottle of baby lotion
1 (16 oz) jar of vitamin E cream
16 oz. vaseline
Mix these in a bowl with your hand mixer. Store in small jars or plastic storage containers. I love this stuff. It came out fluffy and pink and smells good.

Well two other things you can use are straight Crisco or lard. Nope they aren't glamorous but they will definately get the job done. They also make excellent makeup removers if you have dry to superdry skin.

After buying the above ingrediants how much does it all cost and how much product do you get once you mix them alltogether?
My mother Swears by pure "Vaseline"........she's used it for years and gets the BIG BIG tub that lasts forever!

I think it would be good for those with extremely dry skin with no acne otherwise it'll clog other people pores especially that vaseline. I heard though some use it by putting a very littttllle bit and kinda melting it in the hands with a lil water and kinda patting it on the face lightly.
I sometimes use jojoba oil when its drier. It's not actually an oil but ore a ester wax and kinda melds into skin and just works good for me and lasts foreverrr since you only use a drop or two at a time plus its a great makeup remover.

If you buy the ingredients at the Dollar Store, it costs about $3.00, possibly a little more. If you make the entire recipe, it makes quite a bit. I made about 1/3 of the recipe and made 2 jars the size of the Vitamin E jars.
You might not want to put this on your face if you are under, say, 35 or 40. I am over 50 and I practically bathe in the stuff. But even if you are young, I would think it would be beneficial for your feet, hands, elbows, knees.

I'm still planning to make this. I have a question though - sounds silly, but would it give a perfumed smell to my (plastic) hand blender?

I used metal mixer blades and had no problem, Hardy1. If I were going to use plastic I would rinse them really well afterward with bleach water. That is what I would do, but I don't want to try to tell you what you should do.
