That one is REALLY good!
We try to do what they suggest...have a "fun money" activity or purchase each month...not much...3.79 for a movie rental (with coupon so we get 2 movies!), or a thing of ice cream at the store, or buying a $10 or less DVD at Walmart... That sort of thing.
And the neighbor comment is hilarious!!

I really enjoyed this....I think it shows the "creativity" most frugal people use to keep their motivation. I "use" my neighbors as motivation all of the time!

Excellent article! DH and I definitely treat ourselves once in awhile...like a little candy from the bulk bins at the grocery store.
As naughty as it is, when I see others wasting money it *does* make me feel better about myself...so bad!Tara - SAHM to two beautiful little boys!

Yeah, I'm guilty of the neighbor thing, too.
It's nice to know I'm not the only one. Good article, thanks for sharing.

That was a great article...The keeping up the Jones' is such a disturbing thing for me. I know we have all been there at one time or another, but I am so conscience of that now. I am glad that we live way out in the country so I don't have to see what the Jones' buy..LOL...
