    Default YAY US!!!

This maybe isn't worthy of its own post, but, DH and I had our first no spend day of the year!!!!! Trust me, this is a milestone!!! I've started writing down everything we've purchased, essential and non and am aiming for at least 15 no spend days!!!

I've also decided to stop reading gossip blogs (my addiction) because they make me want "that shirt" or "those pants"....

    Anyway, YAY!!!

How many no spend days are you going for?

I'm shooting for at least 15 this month. Unfortunatly DH has current paint job out of town in Orlando so he's going throught at least a tank of gas every other day. But the job is worth it. A new Carrabba's. But at least his morning stop no longer includes 2 packs of cigs as he quit the first of December.

awesome job rachel!!!!! its so hard for me to have "no spending days" because when i get foster kids, sometimes they need items & i'm not sure what they need until they get here. like today, i will probably have to go out & buy diapers when the 2 girls arrive. good luck with all your goals for non spending days!!!

    That's great!

As for me, I don't really set any goals for certain numbers of days. I'm generally not a shopper to begin with. I buy stuff when we need it. Sometimes when we just want it, but I don't typically run out shopping to fill my time. It's not a hobby for me or anything.

We've had no no-spend days so far this month, but we just got back from a trip to London, so we had to eat out since we had no food, I've had a couple of grocery runs, the car went in for some repair work, DH and I stopped for fast food on the way to church since there was no time to go home first...

The only spending I'll do today, though, is to pick up my prescriptions at the pharmacy. But I may just put that off until tomorrow.

That is great! Certainly worthy of a post. I do not track no spend days, but since I hate to shop and usually only shop every week and a half or so for groceries I think that I will do fine this month.

sorry for the thread hijack, but have you considered keeping a stash of different sizes of cloth diapers? That way you don't have to worry about buying dipes for the new kids that come in.

I am hoping to have 16 no spend days this month. Normally that gets blown with a trip to the vending machine at work. One of my goals for the year is to get in better shape so avoiding the junk food will help. Today will be my first no spend day.

We are at 4 no spend days so far this month. I don't count groceries in that since that is something we need I am talking eating out, buying things we really don't need but want so for us 4 days is great. We are happy with it. We are aiming for 25 no spend days this month and we are off to a good start.

Good luck to everyone who is trying for no spend days you can do it!!

I would like to have 15 no spend days, but the month is not starting out very well -- only one so far. I had hoped to do better, but I'm playing catch up, picking up some things I just didn't get out to get in December. But that list is wiped out now except for one item, so maybe there can be a lull!

    Hey, that's great!

You've inspired me...I'm gonna go for 20 no-spend days this month. (It could help that it's only 3 degrees out and I don't wanna go out in the COLD). hehehe
