I am back!
Well, guys, I just wanted to say that I am back from Germany! Back in Oklahoma, and I just got the internet turned on today... couldnt wait to stop by and see whats been going on these past two months I have been out of the net!
I have decided to hold off on the employment right now, and go back to school. Currently, I am taking 18 hours this semester, and if everything goes as planned, I will graduate in May of 2009. ( I am going for a communications degree with a concentration in Radio/Television)
So far, I am loving it. I love not being in the Army anymore. I love waking up at 7 am instead of 430. I love going to school everyday. I love not having all the stress that I was under for 9 years!
But, I am still watching every penny that I have, so I can go to school full time with either not working for the next two and half years, or at most, only need to get a part time job. I know that it will probably get harder as the time goes by, but right now, the money situation is not an issue.
The kicker for me right now is that I own a washer and a dryer. And they are somewhere around this town. THey just arent in my house. Because the renters took them. Yes, I am highly upset about this. The rental company is taking them to court to get the depreciated value of my washer and dryer, but I dont want depreciated value. I want MY WASHER AND DRYER BACK!
Going to the laundramat is not inconvienant, but it is highly expensive. I am basically washing things and putting most of them on hangers, bringing the home, and hanging them to dry on the shower rack.
The renters also hammered nails into my vinyl siding, which is 2 years old, to hang up Christmas Lights. I told the rental company to go ahead and sue to have that replaced as well. I mean, its ruined. You cant patch those holes.
Of course, there are other little things here and there. I dont understand why people treat the places they live the way they do. So what if they dont own it? Someone does, and its where they were living, so why not just take care of it?
Anyways, its great to be back in the United States! I am so happy my internet is hooked up so I can check this board everyday!
(As a side note, I spent the month and half waiting for my stuff to be shipped around the world in New Orleans with my mother. The city is still really bad. It is such a shame. But how bout dem Saints, huh? Who would have thought it!)

Welcome home! Sounds like you have a great plan in place right now. I'm glad you're enjoying school. Are you now out of the military completely?
That's a shame about your washer and dryer and the damage to your house. I just don't understand how people can treat their home that way. Even if they don't own it, it's still their home for the time they're in it! Geez... Some people are such pigs. I hope you receive some restitution.
