Yes I would still live a frugal life and try to use the money to help other people.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

If I won, I would put all the money into a savings account to go to buying a house in a few years. So in a way, nothing would change except my savings account amount.

I'd definitely still be frugal...I'd want to make that money last!

Absolutely. I would pay off everything I could, give dh some blow money because he'd probably leave me if I didn't, and put the rest in investments. I see no reason to waste money just because you have more of it. All dollars have the same value imo.

Yes, I don't like wasting money. I might eat lunch out a bit more often tho.

Yes, put it into investments and live off the interest, after paying off all the bills, including the mortgage!

Although I might use some of it to build a closet!

I think so! I'd buy a house first thing and put a lot in investments. Then I'd go to Europe for a couple of months!

Alright, I'll admit it. I'd waste some of it. I'd buy a nice house, a nice car, and some nice clothes and shoes. I suppose I'd let DH get something for himself too!

Most of it would go in some kind of low-risk account and we'd live off the interest.

I'd pay off the mortgage, pay off my mother-in-law's mortgage, and then invest/save the rest. I might buy a few things that I know we will need eventually (another car, new siding for the house etc). I'd make sure I had full college funds for my little ones (don't have any yet, but am planning on 2 or 3) and full retirement for hubby and I, and then I'd just live on the interest that my investments with the rest of the money would make me. Woo hoo! A girl can dream, eh?

I'm too frugal to buy the tickets! But if someone gave me a ticket and I won, then I'd still continue being frugal. It's a game for me, and a challenge. Now DH, on the other hand, would probably want to spend it all.

    Wink

If we're talking millions....I'd give half away (in lots of fun, cool ways) and then I would be as frugal as I would need to be to live off the other half for the rest of my life...

No, I would not be washing baggies and hanging all my clothes to dry every weekend by my woodstove.

I would be shamelessly driving a new vehicle, taking my extended family on vacation and throwing big birthday parties for my kids!
May today there be peace within...
