Startings for February
I have my bread for four loaves rising at the moment. Need to make more dough enhancer.
Woodstove burning.
Made our soap for February Monday night.
Make candles this Saturday.
Washing clothes in cold water.
Don't own a dishwasher. Have well water but water is water and I save on the electricity to run one.
Split my Dawn detergent into two large containers this morning and added water to make it go alot further.
Hang clothes up to dry.**I had my husband hang a line in my tiny livingroom where woodstove is burning. Weird I know but hey It's freezing here in Va. If I hung them outside to dry I'd have to lay down on the floor to get my jeans on.
Buy nothing at store except maybe milk even though I have cases of dry milk. Dh likes regular milk in his cereal. Little does he know that when he is at work I pour mixed dry milk in it alittle at a time.
Friend keeps us in goose and chicken eggs so no spending there.
Make mixes that I used almost up in January.
Check sales for toilet paper. Have about 100 rolls but I have a horror of running out.
Use more cloth napkins instead of paper. I also will continue to use paper grocery bags for draining food. I just add 1 sheet of paper towel over it.
Cook for freezer dinners. Lasagna, spaghetti sauces, chili and soup.
Chocolate chip cookies already made for the month. Dh takes 6 each day to work.
Make noodles.
Ground wheat berries yesterday for breads.
Turn tvs off when not in use. Have a bad habit of leaving them on as I move from room to room.
Make Freya my dog her biscuits for the month.
Order my seeds to start seedlings for garden.
Get material and craft patterns together for Christmas gifts and get started on quilts.
Take old sweaters and make socks and mittens out of them. Didn't do this last month.
No spending for dvds.
Well guess that is all I have earmarked for February. Guess it will keep me busy.
Happy Saving
Barb
