Any make-up avoiders out there?
Do any of you go without make-up in order to save money? I know cosmetics can get really spendy... And often they aren't good for your skin...
I work in an office and don't know if I'd feel "appropriately dressed" without it?

On most days that I am home I won't wear any make up, which saves some money by not wasting it. If I run errands I just wear foundation and chapstick. When I used to work in an office and customer service I would wear my foundation and mascara, eye shadow, and a color tinted lip gloss. I feel more confident in a work setting when I have my face made up.

I do not wear make-up. I avoid it for a couple of reasons, but cost is not one of them.

9 times out of 10 I'll be bare naked (face that is ladies!)
On the odd occasion that I do decide to wear anything to work (I work a desk job in an office) its a clear tinted lip gloss or a light coloured gloss very neutral. Im more of a chapstick kinda gal. I do use pressed powder on occasion to de-shine my face when it gets bad.
At nite when I go out to 'socialize' at a group setting - mousse foundation, blush, eye liner, light swipe of neutral eyeshadow if I even bother and lips - darker tinted lip gloss or an actual lip stick.
Girls at work know what I look like with 'work appropriate' make up and 'social hour' make up....not that much of a diff - I just show more lip
HAHAHA.
I dont wear make up b/c its more of hassle for me to put it on right b/c I dont use it that often. Not to save money though, never thought of it like that.2012: The Year Of The Purge!

I don't wear make-up if I am not leaving the house and no visitors are coming over. I only wear it for public and special occassions and I rarely buy make-up now. My face thanks me because I have sensitive skin and eyes. I used to wear it daily to work and if I went out but now I even will shop bare-faced. I feel prettier when I wear it but it's become just another chore, like styling my hair.

ok, so I ALWAYS wear make-up. We have been snow bound for 2.5 days, and as I sit at my computer here at 10 pm, I have makeup on that I need to take off. I mean the whole thing. Mosterizer, foundation, cover-up, blush, eyeshadow, and mascara. Now, I don't pay for it, b/c I get it free at Walgreens FAR, or I buy it garage sales (boxed never opened mary kay by MK ladies that are quitting are my fav. deals). I feel "weird" w/o it.

I had never thought to skip makeup to save money until I found FV. I now on the days that I am not going anywhere (which is often b/c I am a stay at home homeschooling mama) I don't wear any or when we are working at the house. I also have gotten to where I will not put it on until I am leaving the house so that I don't have to reply in the evening.

I have never worn make-up and it has nothing to do with the cost. Whenever I tried it I always broke out so I never bothered. Plus I am lazy. I'd rather sleep an extra 20 minutes than spend that time putting on make-up

I almost always wear mine unless I know I am staying home. I don't have sensitive skin and I don't have to buy expensive make up. The only thing I replace often is mascara and I rarely wear it anyway.
I use a organic soap with essential oils for washing and a good cream.

I don't wear make-up ever, but cost really isn't the reason. Make-up would not make me feel more "professional". It's just my personal opinion, but make-up is fake and that's the last thing I want to be.

I stopped wearing makeup when DH (then boyfriend) requested I stopped wearing it. He would always end up with peach patches on his white t-shirts! So now all I do is use moisturizer and curl my eyelashes if we're going out. I'm not too bothered-the only makeup that matched my multicultural skin tone was Estee Lauder. It saves me a lot of

I don't usually wear anything but mascara and a little blush. Mostly it is just a hassle in the morning, because we are always so rushed.

I always wear makeup. I would never not wear makeup to save money as it wouldn't really be saving me much anyway. Makeup lasts me a really long time even though I use it daily. I have somethings over a year or two old. And admittedly some over 3. I honestly don't know how some people blow through foundation in 3 months. I have mine which is mineral makeup for 2 years now just about and that's with DAILY use. But sometimes I see girls with cake faces, visibly orange and really powdery horribly nonmatching makeup on themselves. I just feel more comfortable with it since I've gotten so used to it.
