    Default Frustrated...and sick...

I have the stupid flu and I can't seem to get rid of it! I tried going to work today, but by 10am my boss told me I looked "green" and asked if I'd like to go home (as I sat there trying to hold myself up on my desk). I wanna cry.

I got sick on Thursday...went home at noon...missed work Friday. Went to work yesterday and managed to make it until 5pm, but came straight home and was literally in my pj's in bed at 5:25! Then there's today...

Being sick is NOT frugal!! I get NO sick leave!! And then there's the money for Theraflu, throat lozenges, etc. I don't even have the energy to cook frugal meals! This sucks!

I'm still miserable...fever, sore throat, aches, fatigue, etc. My boss is a bit of a germaphobe (but a reeeeally nice and funny guy - don't want him to sound bad) and doesn't want people at work when they're sick...which is great in theory, but BAD for the paycheck! My hubby is going to school full time so my pay is all we have...

So, here I sit...proped up in bed with my laptop... Knowing that it is highly unlikely that I'll be better by morning... Is it okay to cry now?

Thanks for letting me vent...you ladies are so supportive...I've started calling you all my "frugal family".

awww, I am sorry you are sick. Maybe some nice hot honey or lemon tea will make your throat feel better? I hope you feel real good real soon!!

I hope you feel better soon I agree that it's hard to keep up with the frugal lifestyle when you are sick and have to buy medicine and then can't cook as many frugal meals. Maybe the time you stay home from work will help you rest and recover faster. You are in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.

Sorry to hear you are sick. But by now I guess you would be alright. next time you feel that you are falling sick allow 4-5 days for the illness to leave you. Stay home , have warm food and hot drinks and with proper medications you will reach office sooner than trying to be in office everyday and ending up feeling more sick.

I am sorry to hear you are so sick. I agree that it is hard to be frugal when you feel so bad. Hot Chicken soup is good too. The important thing with Flu is to rest, drink lots of fluids and get well. You will have to catch up on the rest later. Hugs to you.

Sorry to hear you are sick and hope you get to feeling better soon. Our family just got over the flu last week. All of us still feel blah but not sick like before.

I hope you feel better soon. Drink plenty of fluids and get plenty of rest. I know it's hard, but try not to stress too much about the $$, it will work itself out. Just focus on getting better!
