diapers and formula
I was just wondering what everyone uses for formula and diapers if they have little ones? My husband thinks his daughter should have only the best.... We're out of Enfamil coupons so I will be switching to either Walmart or Sam's formula when we need more. (Enfamil hasn't sent out coupons in a long time) Diaper wise we were using the more expensive diapers... Huggies and Pampers only when I had a coupon. I like Luvs but I don't get coupons for them (I am signed up on their site but don't get much). I decided the other day to get the Target brand diapers - they are 13 cents each compared to 17-20 cents each (size 3 - boxes). I tried them and they seem fine. I will put the baby in those during the day and the more expensive ones at night . I have TONS of $1 coupons if anyone wants them. When she was in the smaller sizes it was a much better deal with these coupons and a sale, but now it's not.

I breastfed my last one excusively, so I didn't have the expense of formula with DS. With my third child, I breastfed and used formula. I did use generic formula with her and we didn't have any problems at all with store brand formula. Now, I do have two in diapers right now. I'm not really brand specific with the diapers and like most store brand diapers as much as I like Pampers and Huggies. I usually buy what's on sale, and usually combine it with coupons. Typically, I get my diapers at CVS because it's an opportunity for me to use ECB for additional money off. It's really nice when CVS is also offering ECB for purchasing diapers too.

I get my diapers at BJ's and they are 17$ for close to 200 diapers size 3. They are generic but they work fine i have never had a problem. As far as formula when the emfimil checks stopped I bought walmart brand and she is in perfect health.

I breastfed up until this month, when she started using me as a teething ring...lol. Now we use the walmart brand formula and cloth diapers - we buy whatever disposable diapers we can find the cheapest and use them just for long car trips and doctor's appointments. No problems at all with the generics.

no formula recommendation here. but for diapers we brought Luvs and BJs brand. my only warning is that babies rus brand were terrible for use leaky leaky. but all of the other cheaper store brands worked out fine for us.

well, we used to use any kind of disposable except the super cheap wal-mart brands (they just didn't work for us). But now we use cloth diapers. They have some really nice ones now, not just the prefolds & pins. We have ones that are very similar in style to disposable diapers, but instead of throwing them away we wash them. Very easy! We spent about $200 total on diapers (we started when she was 15 months) and have used them for 15 months. Total cost per month $13.33 (our elec. and water have not gone up enough to make a difference). And we're still using them so the cost per month will go down until she potty trains.
When we switched from breast feeding to formula we used whatever was the cheapest. If you compare the nutritional facts they are very similar on all the brands.

My daughter uses the Walmart brand diapers...I think they are like $10 for 65 diapers (size 4.) She used to be on Bright Begininngs formula, do they even make that anymore? It was cheap, but I had trouble finding it.

My youngest is 11 so it has been years since we needed these items but....
DD was on Nutramagin Formula and DS was on Lactofree.
As far as diapers, Luvs were my favorite. Store brands seemed to leak a bit or either fall apart.
DS had a sensitive bottom so I could only use certain wipes or he would have a red bottom.DD (19)

I prefer Pampers, but Huggies is o.k. too. I've used the cheaper brands, and they are o.k, but just feel too rough. I also have AIO's cloth diapers to use too.
As far as formula goes,I've used several so far. I haven't noticed much of a difference. The best value I've found is at Sam's Club. I can buy a 3 pound container for under $20.
